EMRitus' Clinical Documentation - Assessment, Diagnosis, & Documentation

The Patient Assessment screen uses Ergo developed dialogs which in turn use language pick lists to facilitate quick pen-based input with virtually no keyboard entry required to document the most comprehensive encounter. EMRitus comes with a large inventory of ready to use templates. You can also customize your own templates with EMRitus' easy to use Template Wizard.

Based on extensive previous experience, the Ergo team designed their clinical documentation system around the following fundamental beliefs:

  • An electronic patient-centric medical record with structured content is required in order for health care to continue to enhance quality of care
  • Detailed and consistent documentation of the interaction between caregivers and the patient is essential Observations should, where appropriate, be able to be recorded quickly and easily at the point of care
  • Consistent health observations must be recorded as discrete values from an exhaustive vocabulary which supports all disciplines in order to improve quality of care throughout a clinical practice or across broad geographies
  • Patient encounter documentation incorporating detailed observations should be available to the entire care team at all times
  • Everyone involved in the patient’s care should share information on a multi-disciplinary care plan
  • The patient care plan must be outcome-focused, and outcome progress must be available for continuous evaluation
  • All disciplines should have immediate access to updated information
EMRitus is designed to facilitate all of the above elements in an easy to use, patient-centric electronic clinical documentation system. It combines Ergo's Health Observation Language with industry standard languages into a comprehensive collection of dialogs to support clinical documentation.

All dialogs use language pick lists to facilitate quick pen-based input with virtually no keyboard entry required to document the most comprehensive encounter.
